I bought a camcorder earlier this year (not to video my loan application to 'Picture' the Loan), its a JVC digital 8 one, I have taken a few hours of film and now want to put it onto the pc, the software that comes with it is rubbish, so just wondering what everybody uses to do theirs, I have USB 2 on the pc and a firewire card lurking somewhere so could use either.

i use pinnacle.. it takes a fair while to get used to but it does the job and isn't extremely expensive...

I use pinnacle too. For some reason I could not master how to use it, then one day it all clicked into place and I wonder why i ever had trouble.

Pinnacle Studio 9'ish...try Ebay as I got the SE [standard] for £9, didn't work with my Sony but got the patches through their website and a free Hollywood effects folder.

Superb and really quite easy to use if your bothered about reading the intro

I use for uni work is Adobe Premiere works for me.
