The Mystery Penny !
How often have you filled up with fuel, say £10, £20, £30 and when you get to the till its £10.01, this has happened to me on about 10 occassions this year already, where does that extra penny come from?? and when you ask the cashier they just laugh or smile thinking you're taking the p*ss, it's come to the point where I watch the pump read out for a couple of seconds after I have replaced th nozzle.
I smell a scam, Ok its only 0.01p x that by a few thousand a day.......

Some of the garages around here have a little tray with loose change in it in case you went just over the £10/£20 or whatever, you just helpyourself to the odd penny...
Thought it was a good idea and hence, don't think there is anything sinister
However, I am in sleepy blue rinse land where as you are on Evergreen Terrace, I've heard its pretty rought round there....

I have also noticed this, if you watch the pump sometimes it goes up as your putting the nozzle back, or after its back already. A few drips makes up that extra penny, mysterious tho
