The Problem Of Dead Flies
....and how to remove them from the bodywork of my motor.
Any ideas greatfully received. And yes I DO apply quite a bit of elbow grease but they are stubborn little critters.

You can get a mesh covered sponge that gets rid no bother, but make sure you wash it thoroughly before and after.
Stunt frogs are a 'tad' over the top.

little buggers get fat quick sat on the front of my car, all I need now is a stunt dwarf with anti bird gun on the roof to eradicate the chances of being shat on from a great height (unless im at work).
Talking of work....

Tar remover works, but be sure to wax afterwards.
Alternatively place a warm wet towel on the affected areas for a while, and wash off.
I'd be wary of using one of those mesh sponges
Margarine also works, I was told by a professional valeter.

Talking of bird poop......... that's another no-no. Seem to be ok getting it off just need something to deter it arriving on the paintwork in the first place, maybe a roof mounted scarecrow. mmmmmm fat frogs..... danger of explosion there, VERY messy!

1) Buy a double bed sheet (fitted ones are better)
2) Fit it over the front of your car (it does work)
3) Soak with water (hose pipe is good)
4) Leave for 30 mins, but make sure it stays soaking wet
5) Remove sheet
6) Wipe off flies
It works a treat.
Also useful for motorbikes

I certainly wouldnt recommend Turtle Wax Bug & Tar Remover, it removes them alright but as subarus have soft paint the wipes scratch/mark the paint.

funnily enough i had a go at this the other day.
being a complete cheapskate i couldn't be bothered to buy yet more rip-off products so got a plastic spray bottle, filled it up with some diluted tesco's wash n wax and hey presto. bug remover.
providing you're not in direct sunlight (so it doesn't dry up) all you need to do is leave it on for a few minutes and bugs just wash off easy.
also helps if you wax your front regular though
