ING Direct or Alliance & Leicester On-Line
Anyone invest with either of these guys? They seem to be offering the best on-line savings rates at the moment. Is ING still 5.0% and A&L 4.5%?
Got £10k to stick away but might need access at short notice so can't tie up.
Alternatively, it would probably be best put in my linked mortgage offset account which will pay 5.25%.

I thought A&L's online account was 5.35%?
Im with ING with is 5%, and I was going to open an account with A&L but you need a doctors signiture etc for all the account openning forms.
Get the feeling ING are likely to be a good long-term bet. A&L and the other banks/BS's tend to offer short term excellent rates to get customers, then cut the rates back.
