Thumbs up In The Light of 07/07 Do This On Your Mobiles NOW!

This is a really good idea ..... believed to have been suggested after the Thusrday bombings - not sure about the truth of that .... BUT, it sounds like an excellent idea!!

Put an ICE in your phone TODAY!!

What if you don't want your mum making decisions about whether you're to have a certain procedure on the operating table. Maybe you've left special instructions with your partner. Or vice-versa for that matter.

If its emergency what is right and wrong would be kind of irrelavant. All phones *may* have a PIN lock but who uses them? Come on now lets be sensible!

Eh? When out and about invariably my mobile is on - and who uses pin codes once the mobile is on?

If next of kin need to be contacted in an emergency and I can't give the emergency services the number myself, they are more than welcome to look on my phone to find it (ICE done )

Wait for a load of car stereo shops to get bombarded with calls in the event of a pikey/chav/max power gathering being bombed

the ICE thing is a good idea.

As for pin locks and who uses them. I do! It's partly a security measure, in case someone nicks the phone, but it's mainly due to the fact that I have in the past caused the phone to dial a number when it's in a pocket, so it's more a "doh!" prevention method

Did this years ago when I first got a mobile, but in a different format. All they have to do is look in my phone book under Dad to get his works number or parents to get their home number.

Oh and if I'm straying far from home I also wear dog tags, with my name and parents home address on them.

Good point about keylock. PIN lock? Do you mean SIM lock? If so then that would, I think, only come into effect if the SIM card is taken out and put in another phone (might be wrong there)

Regardless, the ICE thing is a good idea.

Why not get a bar code tattooed on the back of the neck?

Good idea though - stored on my mobile

Pete, probably your best post so far this year!

Yeah, yeah, yeah ............... its unlike me to beat you lot to something!!

I just think its an excellent idea - if everyone had an ICE number it would make it so much simpler for the rescuers and those about to operate.

And I've posted LOADS of top posts - you little ****s!!
