France had that as well. Must've been fixed when they beat Brazil in the final cos they've been crap ever since.
Germany next year isn't it? They wish!

Go Paris, go Paris!
Don't want it and we won't get it. Wish someone would stick a sock in Seb Co's big fat gob. Is he gonna write a personal cheque to cover the cost of hosting it? Didn't think so...

Hope TB's greasy schmoozing has turned the committee right off the UK and publicly state as much - well I can dream!
I can't believe I am actually rooting for the French to win something!

Doubt London will get it. If they do great, if they don't - oh well.
Just hope London's already dismal public transport system could cope - though I'm sure all of that has been 'carefully considered'.

I for one hope they get it, the economic boost the business community will get before, during and after the event is huge, I saw the figures for Sydney and its mind boggling and the promo vids are just spectacular, go London go!

Surely they can't afford to have the extra traffic in London. I mean it's so overcrowded the congestion charge has been forced to rise by 60%. Surely the city would just pop if an extra 100,000 people moved in!

It's not Britain's Olympic bid. If it was, "Britain" would be paying instead of London.
Or Londoners, to be precise. I'd rather they just built proper transport links around London... lunacy that we have to have bid to raise the money for basic infrastructure projects. Sydney, Athens, even Montreal (76 ffs!) are still paying for those underused facilities.
Having a self-important ****** like Coe in charge doesn't help.

Personally, I reckon the Olympics would be great for British pride and waving the flag. But then again I don't have to pay for it...

There is strange things afoot....
the whole purpose of this campaign is not the olympic drean, but rather an ego boost for billy liar...
from the man who has single handedly destroyed hundreds of years of british history, it smacks as one of the biggest hypocritical ploys yet.
he hates britian because he or his predecessors had no control over the key events so why is he jumping up and down now....
"dubya says jump tony"
how high??
chirac says kiss you rebate tara
"ok jacq"
schroder says " keep the constitution alive"
"Ok no referendum, but parts of it look good so we,ll go that way"
its just another line on his cv..
2005 won olympic bid....
and when it all goes **** up he,ll blame the incumbant party for its failure....
and lets look who will make a killing out of it!!
congestion charge...
saftey partnerships
if i,m not mistaken our new premier staduim dosent even have a running track does it???
he makes sharks look safe!!!
