Default IT CV Services

Hi Guys.

Does anyone have any suggestions of who I can use for proffessional Curriculum Vitae Services.

I'm thinking of moving on and could do with help creating a good CV.

Thanks

Interstingly, I've browsed the web and it seems there are many CV services companies knocking about, but non specialising in the IT proffession. I'm really looking for someone who may specialise in IT / Computing CV's or perhaps recommendations from someone on here.

Thanks

It depends on what your job in IT is. Part of thundertiger's advice is good, part is not! Don't bull**** - you'll be found out very quickly- especially if yours is a technical role.

Personally, I don't think you need a professional writing service. There are loads of small cheap books that you can buy to advise on how to write a CV - that's what I did. I've been using the same format for about 5 years, with regular tweaks to update the information.

I'm in IT, with 12 years + experience. My CV is still only just over 2 sides of A4. I've had comments from several agencies on the quality of my CV, as many they see are rubbish. I'll happily send you a copy if you drop me a PM with your email details.

Just remember the golden rules:

CVs are sales documents - you are selling yourself.
That said, CVs don't get jobs - people do. The purpose of the CV is to secure you an interview. Beyond that, they have no real use.
