Pimp my ride uk
Anyonme see it?
Feel sorry for the girl, they did a nice job of the car, not to my taste but she obviously liked it, what would concern me is that MTV filled it full of expensive gear, recorded it and then played it to the British public, hmm wonder how long that lot will last before it dissapears ?
And yes Tim Westwood is a t1t.

WTF is Westwood on???? Surely a bigger w*nker cannot exist. The guy is like a parody of Ali G!
Car nicely done, though, as above, not to my taste - I too wondered how long it will remain kitted out in this piece of **** country.

Just finished watching it. I thought the car was pretty good - very hod rodish and fitted the scene she was into (surfing and all that!)
Hopefully they put some sort of alarm on it. I suppose the American PMR would have the same problem though? Fill a car full of expensive gear and filming it, might go walkies!?

Dunno why you should think its going to get nicked in this country any more than in the US, always thought the same about the US version. They put tons of expensive stuff into those cars, it was always filmed at the same location so, many of the vehicles must have been reasonably local (by US Standards ), I shudder to think of those cars being parked up in the supermarket car park..

I think the car appeared to have been done to a higher standard than the Us ones (Ie. fit and finish) its a shame they tried to make it too much like the Us one i hope the show lasts long enough to establish its own style.
Tim Westwood needs removing preferably from the TV screens but ill make do with the face of the earth.

All that money on a paint job and the engine still knocked it's **** off plus they left all the badging and standard wing mirrors that didn't suit the style at all.
Reasonably well put together, but still a very superficial job. If only they'd make an Overhaulin' UK.

Just watched at my mates house (sky+). God that was awful. I love the nicknames of "pimp" crew
I'm sorry, but a Morris minor is unpimpable, it cannot be done....never!
Interior turned out nice. But exterior...WTF!!? Awful colour scheme. And the wheels I'm sorry but it would be impossible for those not to catch the arches when you hit a bump whilst turning.
A good comparison to the US show for pimping a classic would be that VW van. That worked out very nicely. They retained the exteriors originality and just gave it a slight personal touch (although rather concerned about the rivited aluminum patches and filler on the sills...but that's another story ). With the UK version it seems they just sprayed the most garish colour they could think of and put tacky mask painted stripes on. FFS get out the airbush and blend it properly!!
We had a debate of who "should" have presented the show, because Westwood is such a low grade geeky wannabe...we all agreed on Ian Wright as a suitable Britsh equivelent to X to the Z
Golf next time - at least that is a pimpable car
A UK overhaulin' or UK hotrod would be cool - but I really don't think many people/garages exist in the UK that are capeable of such unique, original, and quality of work. Plus the UK aftermarket parts industry is a joke compared to the states which would make the show pretty much impossoble to create in the UK.

OMG I know that a well known security company supply the alarms and as such had prior warning of this.
It lasted 5 mins on my TV and I won't watch another 1 unless the sound is off. Xibit in the US show aint too bad, but Westwood for ours, noooooooooo. All I'll say is pity the drive by missed.
And yes it is shown on MTV.

A UK version of PMR! lol Tell me you're all joking when you're saying it's Tim "I'm so the *****!" Westwood presenting. Regardless of the fact he appears to have helped the rap scene in the UK, he's still a fool and should do an inverse-MJ and have some skin problem that turns his skin black, he'd then be just slightly annoying.
I like the US version of the show, yeah it's bling bling all the way, but Xibit seems to be a bit of a laugh.

The whole thing seems too scripted. The bloke was going to put 18" rims on "but they didn`t fit, so we are going to put on 17" wheels on". In the US version they would chop up the car and put 22" chromes on. I did like the quality of the work though, looked smart. Westwood is a tw*t. Is he 40 or something?, looks older than he is trying to be!.
