Claiming Back Nursery Fee's
Does anybody claim back a proportion of their nursery fee's from the Inland Revenue ?
I am trying to get through to the Inland Revenue at the moment but with no joy; not suprised with the bad press they have been getting.
My wife has been offered childcare vouchers through her work, taken out of salary prior to PAYE and NI. However, I have been told that you cannot claim back a proportion of the nursery fee's from Inland Revenue and pay for the rest with childcare vouchers.

Is the money you're trying to claim related to the government promise of five 2.5 hour sessions free nursery education per week for all 3 and 4 year olds?
If so, I believe that the nursery has to be registered for the scheme, and will claim the money back on your behalf and thus you simply pay the nursery less.
Gary.
