Well, sort of, but the Monsters Of Rock tour still exists. Only last year I saw Whitesnake headline on the Bournemouth leg of the tour. The T-shirts were a 'replica' of the 1990 Donington MoR tour shirt (their previous headline) with the support bands changed.
The MoR tour used to play one date in several European countries and this tour still exists. The download festival uses the same original MoR site (Donington) but covers a whole weekend as opposed to the single day that MoR used to be.
