Watched an old Sky documentary last night on video about Tyson up till he went to jail. With the exception of Ali, Paterson and maybe Joe Frazier, there were no fighters who could have lived with that man when he first won the world title. Not only was his two handed attack frightening, but his defence was awesome. Watched one fight where standing toe to toe the other guy must have thrown 20 - 30 punches (good quality) and not one landed. Tyson did'nt even have to block them as his movement was so good. What a shame that what made him such a talent in the ring probably destroyed him out of it.

One of these ones that can't be decided.
If Foreman in his prime hit Tyson, he would have put him away.
If Ali got past the 1st round he would have jabbed, danced & made Tyson miss for 15 rounds.
Smokin Joe would have fought Tyson with the same style Tyson had.
Paterson would have pressured Tyson into mistakes.
All I know is Ali was champion when Frazier, Foreman, Shavers and Norton were around. Any of these guys would have been champion over the last 10 years.
Tyson the best ever.?? I'll go with the person who IMHO was the most knowledgeable ever about boxing - Angelo Dundee. He picked Ali
