Random Diving Question
Evening Chaps / Chapesses...
Anyone know the best way of stopping your mask steaming up when diving/snorkling... I usually use a bit of "green" but are there any better methods??
Cheers
Chris (looking forward to a fortnight in the Maldives)

You should use a non abrasive toothpaste initially if it is a new mask as they have a coating on the glass. Then good old spit doe's the job although you can buy antifog spays at your local dive shops.

On first use use something like toothpaste to clean the inside of the mask, then rinse out. Then before you jump in on every dive, spit in the mask, rub it round the glass, and a quick rinse out with the water your about to jump in.

If it steams up while diving just flood it and clear it again, assuming you're happy/practiced at doing this.
But yes, always give new masks a decent clean with toothpaste/water and the end of your finger before 1st use.
