Default After a s/h 3-5 hp outboard mota

It is for a 7' fibreglass dinghy, so would it need be a short-shaft motor and is this the right sort of power, it is for use on a river so top speed not important, just gentle cruising.

Any ideas where to get one and how much to be looking at for a 'pre-owned' one?

Pau

I know its not second hand, but the shop I work for sells Tohatsu 3.5 Short Shafts through ebay for £369. Which is a very good price.

I know our shop has got a 3hp johnson up for £200. We send loads of engines out through are currier so shouldn't be a problem getting to you.

PM me if you want the shops number, don't want to break the advertising rules on here.

Paul,

If you're just wanting to meander up-river it might be worth looking at electric outboards. A colleague at work has got a couple and they're good news, no noise or vibration, and run quite a while on a half decent battery.

Just a thought.

Matt
