Default any restauranteers or planning authorities here?

can anyone tell me where i can find out rules and regs. for capacity for restaurants

basically i heard that you will require x amount of parking space and/or x toilet facilites for x amount of seating in the restaurant

I can't see there being a requirement for parking spaces, or town / city centre restaurants would never be allowed.

Toilet facilities will be covered by building regs... have a look on fatty 2 jag's website...

How much parking is required may be a planning issue if you are applying for change of use from something to a restraunt but if the building is already in that use and no such condition of that use exists then its not a problem. Seating and toilet provision, etc are all matters for building control and not planning unless the building is the subject of a part change of use or similar where there may be a restriction on the area of the building or amount of seats that can be put to restraunt use.
