The good thing about travellers is that they don't have land lines. This means that they don't have access to the internet. Can you imagine the havoc and scams they'd get up to if they were

Our local authority spent a large amount of money on a new park for the kids last year and in April the place was full of pikeys, totally destroying the playing field.
Police called at my door, he was driving by and saw my caravan sat on the drive. He advised me to take the wheels off as six caravans in the area had been stolen since the pikeys had arrived. Two of the stolen vans had trackers fitted and had been traced to the pikeys camp but the Police said they hadn't got the resources to enter the camp and retrieve the stolen vans.
Total value of the stolen caravans was over £75k.
The insurance companies believe over two thirds of caravan theft in the UK is down to the travelling community, this rises to over 85% for twin axle vans.
All modern caravans have the chassis number etched on the windows, most are microdotted and a lot of new expensive stuff have standad fit trackers. All a waste of time as the Police refuse to enter camps and check for stolen gear.
Cheers

Jees!
Isn't this country turning to ****e
Police do not have the rescourses, why not!?!
The local councils are tax us with scamera vans so where the money going
What sort of message does this send out the the p1kies - take what you want, the Police cannot do a thing!
I think the government better have a look at tackling 'real crime' soon or there wil be civil war in this country!!!

What the hell do the police mean by that reaction? They are established to prevent crime, defend the innocent, and retrieve stolen goods to return to the rightful owners, amongst the rest of their remit.
Can't believe they are too "busy" or too scared more like to sort out the Pikeys. If this sort of thing is allowed to continue as well as the yob factor, they will spend all their time protecting government **** and to hell with the rest of us all!
Come on Burr, or any of the other coppers-please explain what is going on.

This doesn't stop the pikeys as they turn up in transit vans with burning and cutting gear.
Most stolen vans leave the country via the ports to Europe and Ireland.
Someone I know had a tracker fitted and the van was found at the docks waiting to go to ireland. The tow car was a stolen Shogun being driven by a 16 year old pikey girl.
She was arrested and bailed never to be seen again.

I've not seen any pikeys over here in Canada or the US. Having said that we do have trailer parks, hence the term trailer trash, and most of them congregate there.
I think it could be mainly a european thing, stemming from the romany gypsies who travelled about.
It is astonishing that the police claim not to have the resources to resolve these crimes, what on earth are they doing with their time then? Of course, if a group of local, like minded people, decide to rid the town of the pikeys by force, then the police would no doubt be there in a flash, dishing out punishment to those who are trying to remove this scum from their town.
We've had our fair share of pikeys in my old home town, always smashing things up, thieving, and when they leave, they just live a complete mess behind them.
People seem to scared to take them on due to fear of retaliation, I think it's time we stood up to the non tax paying ****es and started making waves, setting up task forces to remove these people from our town.
Could we not have a nice big trailer park, move them all in there, then torch the whole bloody lot of them? Guess it's not humane to do that though, shame.

That doesn't surprise me.
Last time one of the sites was raided a couple of years back during a big stolen car operation the went in in full riot gear with the armed response vehicles in attendance and were met by a hail of steel ball bearings from catapults mainly held by under 10's.
They also found a flat bed truck with a fork lift truck welded on the back and it just happens in the weeks leading up to it being found several cash machines had been removed from building walls.
There are rumours of when a very well known ford dealer built it's new premises next door to one of the sites they handed ove a dozen brand new Transits in varying styles with the message we've giving these to you lot, If anything happens to our vehicles or property we won't be very happy ;-)

Ask the pratt at No.10
wasnt his mrs who introduced the criminals charter oops i mean human rights act..
wasnt it his right hand man who allowd pikeys to retrospectivly apply for planning permission with a no loose clause..
wasnt this the same man who when greenpeace payed his house a visit called it an invasion of privacy!!
snouts in the trough !!!! four legs good two legs bad!!!!!
this government is so socialist left, they make stalin seem like a college leaver!!
the next time a chief inspector stands up and bangs on about speeding or forging partnerships, ask him how many crimes have been reduced in his area, how many times do recreation grounds get turned into no go areas, becase our local rascals (hah) have paid a visit. We have plenty of legisilation and jurisdiction which they enforce to to the hilt on your average homeowner, but pikeys walk free , its there right innit!!
unfortunatly it comes down to one line as used bt the criminal prtotection service..
"reasonable grounds to secure a conviction" because you or i are accountable, pay taxes, and have an address, we can be caught, fined prosecuted and persecuted!!!
unlike our p friends who have no addresses pay no taxes, and and treat this country as a doormat!!
and its going to get worse....
its only a matter of time. then the ordinary folk will rebell,
