Is this for clays? If so what discipline?
I agree.... Brownings are good guns too but they tend to shoot a little high for my taste.... that's not to say you can't get the stock adjusted to suit of course (within reason) but that will add on cost.
My first shotgun was a Beretta 686 and was a fantastic gun, went all the way to county level with it. I still have it after what must be many tens of thousands of shots and the action is still tight, never let me down.
The barrells have a very high nickel content too so corrosion/pitting is very rare in berettas.

Im in same boat at the present looking for an all rounder as dont wanna buy several guns.
Mostly shooting sporting clays but want to dabble in DTL and skeet every now and again.
After a 12g, 30" MC sporter and currently heading towards a beretta. Borrowed the clubs 680 which is ancient and fired thousands of rounds. So balanced and handles so well. Prefer the older berettas to the new ones as the new ones seem a little to precise and have a machine/modern look to them that I dont really like.
Looking at either 686 or 682 sporting 2nd hand at the mo.

lol at b2g, it will be fecked for a grand.
miroku 32" 3800
browning 32" 325 / 425
should be able to pick one up for about 7-800 squids in good nick
really stick to browning beretta or miroku for that money, anything else really isnt as good per £££.
and dont get a side by side unless you really want to handicap yourself !!

I used to shoot a browing B2g, fantastic gun and would recommend it.... probably a bit out of the price range though, would estimate these at a 2,500 quid gun still a fantastic handling gun and very easy to point

I have a Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon S 28" M/C. Awesome all round gun and I got it for about £900 brand new by paying cash. Berettas will last a lifetime if looked after, last i heard GMK (UK importers) were doing 10 years warranty on them.

Would be paying cash as this seems to get a 10-15% discount, have looked at GMK web site. Was looking for first hand reports to help decide on what gunAs for the 10 year warranty I was told by the dealer if it breaks once they fix it if it breaks again then they will replace it for another one which isn't bad.

It's not loading for me.
Try contacting Litts of Newport. They do a bit of business via a bloke called 'Grant' in Swindon, i went in there with cash and said "Grant from Swindon sent me" (I've never met him and have no idea who he is) and they gave me it for almost cost price.

not so keen on the new berettas, the browning / miroku's just seem to handle better to me. the longer the barrels the better, they just keep themselves swinging and point so much better.
