Going to buy a new washing machine.... but which one?
Hello,
As the title suggests, I am going to go and buy a new washing machine today. Had a look on currys website and they range from about 200 to 1200 quid.
What should I be looking for?
How much gets a decent one?
Anyone know about these things?
Thanks
Bob.

I don't know much about these, but, the wife is an expert
We went for a "Hotpoint Aquarius" for our new kitchen (purchased from Currys about 2 years ago) and have been very pleased with it.
There are loads to look at, and I think it is best to go for a good brand name.

HOTPOINT ULTIMA ?
Last one I bought was a Hotpoint Ultima - its one of those electronic push button ones and is dead easy to use. 1400 spin, quiet, lots of features etc.
I'm going to regret saying this, but its been the best washing machine I've ever had, not that I've actually "had it" so to speak, I'm not into appliance sex!

My mum swears by Bosch. All of her appliances are Bosch, and she has been outstanded by their performance. I'm not sure what kind of price tag you're looking at, but I can imagine that it's a 'get what you pay for' situation.

Dont rule out the LG range
They do a 1200 digital spin for £250.00 in currys at the moment, good performer. My sister has had one for 2 years and its been faultless for her

Miele. Microwave, dishwasher, tumble dryer, washing machine, hoovers. All been serving well for 10+ years (some of 'em) and never a hitch.
Buy cheap, buy twice.

Bobby G, it has to be pretty easy Making Your Mind Up! You're in the Land of Make Believe if you think you think you'll have a New Beginning with anything less than a Miele. I Hear Talk but don't you have a Heart Of Stone, you know the Rules of The Game...buy a Miele !
