Talking Who's been to Milan?

We are going to Milan for our Honeymoon next month () and was wondering if anyone has been before. Any recommendations where to eat and drink and what to see etc

Thanks

Never been so can offer no advice except.......

Drink beer, eat crisps and smoke tabs (C/O Viz)

Enjoy your honeymoon.

been a few times for work.... PERSONALLY (your not going to like this) I think its a dirty awful city.... although the best chinese restaraunt in the world sits on the outskirts of the city been there 3 times now and it gets better everytime I go... couldnt tell you the address though. just know where it is in location to the hotel I usually visit.

should have tried Rome on Bologna instead even Naple (which I think is quite dirty) is better than Milan

Sorry, you did ask though

LOL I can't drink or smoke, cool, I'm knocked up

It can't be any dirtier than Edinburgh! I have recently moved out to the countryside and have noticed Edinburgh is looking a bit 'grubby' of late

The honeymoon was bought for us by my sister and grandparents. I suppose its another city I can add to my list

Whats the chinese called?

to be honest I think Edinburgh is really nice, stayed in Grassmarket a couple of weeks back and thought the general area was quite nice for a city (not a fan of many cities to be honest) looked 10x better than milan thou...lol

any city is worht a visit IMO... just didnt like it... chinese? again I couldnt tell you...lol... I could point you in the right direction if I get on Autoroute2005.... I was shown it by an american associate whilst we was out there on our first visit. was on a back street...

Don't you listen Stephen, our house is just as you come in - not in the countryside? How come all I can see are sheep in fields and windfarms for miles out of my windows???? Anyway, how is it living at home with your pregnant g/f, dad, mum, little brother etc? Back on topic please

We are staying in the centre dave, i think I will get the underground round as well if need be, if you recommend for an experience?

not used the underground to be honest, although the trains in Italy are first class if you decide to visit any other cities

Worked there for 4 months a few years ago.

Best plan for your honeymoon: Rent a car, drive like the Italians do (yeah!), see the sights of Milan (the cathedral) in a couple of days and drive north to the lakes near the Swiss border. You'll have a great time - Italians are wonderful people!

Last time I flew there, three years ago, sat next to Posh & Becks on the plane!

Oh dear...so sorry to hear you are heading for Milan. I think Davegtt has summed it up perfectly as a dirty awful city. Go shopping for a day, hire a car and then go elsewhere for the rest of your honeymoon (suggest you drive about an hour or so and visit Como for some awesome scenery).

I suppose you could also visit Modena as well if your partner likes those red things with four wheels

Cool, thanks for the advice

LOL Kenny you know fine well it's not like that! I would be heading for Cuba next month if it hadn't of been for the bump. Nevermind, I'd prefer stay at home and worry about sorting out my guests rather than me on my big day
