Milan to Rome?
Not a journey on a backpacker's itinary, but the latest rumour circulating on the net.
Apparently Milan Baros has drawn the attention of Lazio in recent weeks and the Serie A giants are interested in making a move for him when the transfer window reopens in January.
Liverpool have stepped-up their interest in Roma defender Jonathan Zebina, according to reports originating in Italy. The 24-year-old has been on Gerard Houllier's potential targets list for some time and it is claimed that an £8 million bid by the boss was rejected for him last season with the Italians saying they would only do business if Sami Hyypia went the other way.
Zebina, who was in a car accident earlier this month, has indicated that he wants to leave Roma next year.
Reports in Italy claim Roma are still keen on Hyypia and one or two other Liverpool players. Roma are confident Liverpool will swap Hyypia for Zebina
The French international is being offered to Premiership clubs, with Arsenal also expressing an interest.
However, Roma want to use Zebina to tempt Liverpool into parting with Hyypia. The Serie A giants are prepared to offer Zebina plus £10 million for Hyypia, who has established himself as one of the Premiership's most consistent defenders.
Liverpool, Spurs move for Bayern's Jeremies
Bayern Munich midfielder Jens Jeremies is ready to snub Serie A for the Premiership.
The German international has announced he plans to leave Bayern at the end of the season and has already attracted interest from Juventus and AS Roma.
However, Jeremies has indicated he sees his future in England and reports state his representatives have already been in talks with Liverpool and Tottenham.

Gerard wouldn't sell Hyypia, especially not at the moment. He's probably the most important player on the pitch at the moment IMO.
Zebina would be a nice catch, but not at the expense of Sami.
Baros is just starting to get first team football too and is clearly loving it, can't see him being interested in a move either surely ?
Jeremies would probably fit in nicely though
