There's some clowns about, they bet big when it looks like a certain win

Same with the horses, they bet thousands when it gets to 1.01 and only make a few quid for a relatively small return

 

perhaps he will know what credit crunch means now

 

if you place a bet and win you get your wager back plus your winnings dont you so 102k

well yeah, but the point is your risking losing 100k to win 2k so if he won the bet he's only 2k better off, if as he did lose he's 100k worst off. i think most right thinking people would think its not worth the risk
