Not a pet thread but I do hear that the Government are introducing new MOT regs that require a direct link form the Garage to VOSPA who will approve the car's emmission test and MOT. This will cause problems for those who are decatted (myself included).

So when they put someone elses car on the emissions tester to get it through how will the system tell? Are they going to have video cameras?

Anyway, simply refitting the centre cat and getting it nice and hot beforehand should get it through.

So how does this differ from the current situation where the machine read it and it passes if it within the prescribed limits?

bloke in my local garage said something about each test being 'tagged' to that particular car, so no more testing a 1.1L Fiesta and using the emmision results off that!

A pug106 was used to pass my de-catted scoob last time round as mine was about 2 half times over the limit
