True, but itd be nice to be warned of Taliban locations even if theyre not being used; I understand that all sites have to be approved, rather than the driver choosing where ever he fancies.
I was about to buy a GPS mouse, which would have cost about £50 after carriage and duties so this looks like a top buy.

A GPS 'mouse' is a GPS receiver in a small chassis (about 50mm square), which connects to a PC via a USB cable. 'GPS mouse' is a ridiculous name but its what people call them and Ive given up trying to educate people.....

Inforad
Hi all
I bought one of those inforad things for my Dad after seeing the ads and although it does work, its very basic and nowhere near as good as my Snooper S4.
It basically just beeps and 3 lights illuminate when approching a location. It also has no radar/laser detector which personally i think is just as useful! Its also very ugly, i know they did this to apparently "keep the costs low" but its a poorly made bit of kit.
Get on ebay, Snooper S3 from Montys of Sheffield for around £90 and S4 for £219, much better units!

It's also worth noting that the Origin B2 now has an NMEA output for sending DPS data down the serial port.
I'll be using this with my car PC when it's finished.

The unit has always had the NMEA output - I've been using mine to provide GPS data to my PDA for nearly a year.
Was surprised to see this on the Inforad though.
