Default Revenge of the Sith - Don't believe the Non-Hype

No spoilers here, just got in.

Have to say that die hard Star Wars fans will not be dissapointed. Easily on a par with the best of the original 3.

Still a lot of CGI but very effective in places.

Everything ties together beautifully.

Just got back too, Printworks in Manchester, no queues, and only two people with lightsabers and two of the staff, one dressed in the Princess Leia bikini, and the other as Padme in the white outfit

Enjoyed it, everything ties in quite nice

This afternoon I'm going to sit down and watch Episode II on DVD as a light 'refresher'
Then, I'm going to give the ol' lightsaber a polish, slip into something befitting such an tremulous occasion, wait for chewbacca aka 'the missus' to come home, climb into the VW tie fighter and head on down to the local scumpit for the 5:45 'preeesentation'

Been to the 0035 showing this morning (sad huh?) and I thought it was excellent, easily on par with episodes IV and V.

The action is vert fast paced, and despite Christensens slight staid acting, the story of his demise is done very well, and is really quite tragic. I actually felt sorry for Vader at the end!

If you are not a Star Wars fan, you'll probably pick holes in it, but it ain't meant to be high art!

If you have waited 28 years to see this, you're gonna love it!

The Beeb have put up "Star Wars saga at a glance" for those who can't be arsed to sit through 9 hours plus of film as refreshers. It has Revenge in the middle, as it should be, but also gives a clicky if you want to dodge that and not have it spoiled for you.

I'm obviously a freak of nature, as I've only ever seen the very first one, which I loved (as a kiddie) and AOTC, which I thought was crap, despite the best efforts of Ms Portman in tight clothes. Having read the summary, I'm now more confused than ever. Guess I'll go and see this one, once the hype has died down.

I wanna go to THAT cinema (as long as they weren't the size of Jabba the Hutt!)

Seen the film this morning. It was AWESOME.

The best prequal by far and as good as the Original Trilogy

Have to admit this does look pretty good, but I expect all the showing are pretty much fully booked for this weekend.

No doubt all the; "been looking forward to this for so long Ive not slept in weeks" / "on medication Im so excited about it" fans will have booked multiple showings

Just got back in from seeing the film

Deffo the best prequel - certainly on a par with the 'classic' films.

2nd quarter drags a little but some stonking fight scenes.

Does the certificate mean I definitely can't take my 3 year old? I'm not too worried about him having nightmares, irresponsible parent that I am.. With all the ads for the film plus toys/cereals/Burger King tie-ins he'll go spare if he can't watch it!

On a related note I can recommend the Lego Star Wars game on the XBOX..We've had great fun with it and it's easy enough for kids and ham-fisted gits like me

Enjoyed, deffo 8 of of 10 from me, would have scored higher except for the appalling Frankenstein meets Vader when he gets up off the operating table and staggers about. "It's Alive...!!!"

Excellent. George Lucas fulfilled all obligations and arguably created the best Star Wars film yet. Probably go and see it again.
A good evening out.

I thought it was sad at the end, not just the way it ended but because it IS the end.

The film blew me away - it was just amazing and brings so much more meaning to ALL the other films including PM and Clones. As innocent, childish, colourful and cute as PM was I feel its required to set a before and after context to the way things were and now are in the universe and for this reason PM must be seen as a part of a whole story.

The whole story is also excellent and you REALLY feel for anikin and the suffering he endures over his lifetime.

I thought that was a bit cheesy too

Greg, I wouldn't advise taking a 3 yo tbh, it gets a bit gruesome in places, and I think some aspects are likely to give a youngster the heeby jeebies

my second time booked for sunday.

btis I hated.

windu/palpatine noises as they face eachother.

shocking acting from the youngling who delivers the worst line in the film.

vader crying in anger when he realises why padme has died.

best bits

yoda dispensing with palpatine's imperial guard

yoda showing the emperor who has the real power

yoda not falling victim to order 66.

(seems to be a common theme going on here!)
