Got back from court and recieved the points and the fine.

Went through a red light and swerved out for a car,Is that fair?

I was stuck in the middle of a crossroads section when lights turned red, not long after my test, way back in 1985! Got 3 points and £60 fine then!!! Wouldnt mind, but ive been stuck loadsa times like that at junctions since, and never been done! Barstewards! But jumping a red light on purpose is a bit dodgey

I'll be honest with you,i did it and i did on purpose and i deserve what i got,

But the coppers were barstewards im telling ya,

i was driving a supra with no plates on they started following me in a unmarked car me being a idiot never realised so i was driving like a looney next thing i stop at some red lights,a astra pulled up next to me and says pull over so i did if i wanted to i could have blown the astra away!

But the coppers here are proper w@nkers well most of them.

Probably not FAIR at all.

But the fact that you avoided hurting yourself or anyone else, but go caught, then you get the 'going rate'.......

6 points and £230 fine is the 'going rate'.

Now if you would have killed someone then the 'going rate' may have been manslaughter and a 7 stretch........

a) Driving a car with no plates on
b) Driving like a loony
c) Failed to stop when asked to by the police
d) Going through a red light on purpose

So this obviously makes the cops w@nkers for stopping you (perish the thought that they were actually doing their job!)

To be honest I'd say you got away fairly lightly. Many years ago I did a similar thing, but my car had plates, and I got a six month ban and a fine (can't remember how much).

That is not fair at all, should have been 11 points and a £1200 fine. To be fair, was it an accident or did you do it knowing it was on red. We all have had lapse's and if that was your case then I think they have been very fair with you to be honest.

Just got registered and plates were wrong size,car was taxed etc.

Well it takes a man to admit his fault its just puppets which make mistakes and arent man enough to admit their faults.

No1 on here would intentionally drive through a redlight, because any1 who has the slightest bit of intelligence knows how bloody dangerous it is, even if you think the road is clear Yeh we've all maybe gone through an amber once in our lifetime, but thats not the same thing as jumping a red, thats just asking for an accident to happen. As u said yourself u had to swerve to avoid a car You swerved to stop yourself hitting another car who was minding his own business! You should of been banned imo. You got off lightly. The police are bastids? um no, they were just doing there job, and makin sure a lunatic with no brain, was dealt with properly.
