cheap tv
ok following on from my tv is toast thread
can anyone recommend a cheapish widescreen tv-preferabally non flammable or does anyone know of any good offers out there
picture a priority over sound quality by the way
ideally less than £500

Try rental companies, they often get rid of old (although some only 6 months old!) tv's cheap. A few years ago, a local one to me was closing but came with warranty (chain tv shop closing store) with any of their other shops. Still got it, works perfectly, decent quality (philips), 32" etc. all for two hundred and something.

Just look in the local paper for a second hand widescreen. With a fair wind you'll find a (non-flammable) one for £50 - £80 which should last for a few years. Should be able to buy a nice new shiny fire extinguisher with the money you've saved DL
