Default Arbing sites...

Came across some of these recently, specifically www.noriskbets.co.uk

Is anybody else a member of these types of sites or have used them? Would you recommend them? Is it worth the price or do you have to plough thousands into them for a fiver here and there? Or is it just naive of me to expect to make fortunes for £6 a month?

I know how it all works but i am a little sceptical as to whether these places are actually useful in what they provide.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Matt

each one is different, I can hand on heart say though that for your £6 a month you wont get the good stuff!

you need to get in on a private group, and unfortunatly you will have to work your **** off to get into one! and the only way you can do that is by joining one of these tacky arb sites!

I presume you know how the arb bet works?

I know of ONE bet that netted a guy over 600 grand last year!!

Bloody hell!

I know how they work and obviously how to calculate them. I also know that with these things its all about finding them and allocating enough in this account and enough in this one etc etc.

Im not looking to make millions, just a few quid here and there as i have been looking to reduce my liability in betting in general recently, and you cant get any lower than zero liability in my book. If im successful then obviously i could look at stepping it up a notch.

Incidentally, what was that massive arb on, the financial markets i presume?

An IT specialist friend of mine has spent some time looking into this whilst taking a break from regular work. He planned to investigate the feasibility of setting up an automated system which would have accounts with a number of different book makers, and which would automatically shred web pages for arb opportunities and place bets.

To get his project up and running he initially subscribed to a number of different arb services which provided an email feed which he shredded into his own database which spewed out arb opportunities - think he was spending about £250/quarter on this. He made money - I think his maximum gain in one month was £750 although it was generally less than this - but his conclusion was that his effective rate pre hour made it considerably less lucrative than IT work.

I too would be interested to know what single arb could give a profit of £600k. Most of the sports arbs my friend bet on yielded a few tenths of a percent, an arb yielding say 2% was a treasured find indeed!

Gary.
