Sourcing shower door components
Does anybody in the limitless fount of knowledge that is SN know where I can by the frame components for shower doors? I need to custom build one for a peculiar location and don't feel like buying a complete unit just to break/bin half the parts.

They only seem to want to build them for you, at a price. Plus, there doesn't appear to be any contact info

did exactly the same thing a few years ago in the conversion of an old house to flats. We bought aluminium box section and a few other bits off a local metal supplier, glass from a glass supplier and started from scratch. As far as I know it's still fine (was installed about 4/5 years ago). it was primed, undercoated twice, 3 top coats then 3 coats of lacquer. having not tried this before, we didn't want to take any chances! from memory i think it cost us about £140 in all (we we buy armitage shanks chiara screens for about £100 so that's not a bad deal for a custom screen

Richard, my local supplier will do box section no problem. But how did you go about fixing the glass & hinging the door, I'm assuming some form of extruded u-section is used? they're the bits I'm struggling with, I need to make a bi-fold ideally.
Andy, screwfix are only any good for the standard type stuff really
