ok folks can someone suggest a suitable destination for my 40th birthday next may for me and my wife thoughts so far include,hong kong,japan,carribean cruise but which boat,new zealand adventure,new york plus las vegas plus hawaii combo. sandals all inclusive,somewhere special,different etc.cheers

If you are not too bothered about a suntan, what about a canadian/alaska combi package. Canadian Rockies 4-5day Landtour, a 1 week Alaskan Cruise followed by a 4 day Alaskan land tour. Lots of wildlife, glaciers, scenery and helicopter/ dog sled type adventures. Well, you did say different.
Princess Cruises seem to offer the biggest choice of these type combos
Have one booked ourselves for this August/Sept. Season runs from May to end of September. bit cooler In May and September, but cheaper

Deepeends what you like doing on a holiday. I recently came back from St. Lucia and would recommend it to anyone. The locals a really freindly, the climate is superb, everything about the place is fantastic. But I go on holiday to chill out which is why it suited me, if you want an active holiday then it might not bee thee place for you.
