Trouble breathing on the motorway
It may be just me but recently I find it difficult not to breath in diesel fumes on the motorway these days. I don't suffer with this problem so much on A and B roads but the motorway in the afternoon can be really smelly! Is it that there are so many more diesel cars on the road to add to the trucks that is making it so bad? I don't have a pollen filter or anything fancy that can deal with it on my car.
Years ago it used to be petrol cars with carbs that were out of tune or vauxhals with valve stem wear that belched out fumes. Now its 'clean' diesels that make me retch!

Agree that diesels stink. Anti-social if you ask me too. Always put the blower on recirc when sitting behind one in traffic.
One of my work colleages has a Golf TDi which he thinks is the danglies. He stopped reversing his car onto his drive as the fumes from his car on start up were polluting his house something rotten whenever the front door was open.
