Turntable drive belts - where to buy online?
The drive belt on my turntable is just slightly short so on the rare occasions when I play records the speed is just slightly too fast. I can put up with this as I so rarely play anything, however a friend has asked me about creating compilations from his old records and burning them to CD. He's seen some "Clean up the sound from your records and copy them to CD" software, so he'll buy the software and cables and will buy me lots of beer for doing the copying/burning .
I'd like to do this properly and have the records playing at the correct speed so I'd like to replace the drive belt before I record anything. Anyone know where I can buy (preferably online) a drive belt for a Trio turntable from approx. 1980?
Thanks
Doug

erm
pass
www.htfr.com used to do a universal belt drive replacement belt- try them. Doesnt show up in their catalogue anymore tho, so may be discontinued.
Failing that- just rent/borrow a technics SL 1200/1210 for a couple of days week and transfer it from that. Not expensive to hire and far more stable and accurate than even a brand new belt drive would be
