Things put in perspective
Sorry, but I had to tell someone:
I was walking round the hospital I work in today when I passed an old man in a wheelchair. He had lost both his legs, he was also sitting in the Renal waiting area waiting for dialysis. The thing which really tugged my heart strings was the big smile he gave me as I passed. How someone can face such obvious problems and still go about their day smiling is inspiring.
Makes my problems seem like pish.
Rik.

Indeed ...... how many of us see our cups as half empty??
Nice to see a post to make us aware that there is a world of pain and suffering and joy and bravery outside of our own.
Everyone should take a minute to think about their treasures - and not someone elses
