Thumbs up The Lord Of The Rings (1978)

Bought it this week and imo opinion its greatly superior the the live action films

One thing though, i remember watching it years ago and im sure it contained a scene at the start where its black and white and everyones sat round a table being handed the rings?

I remember seeing this one as well - they couldnt do part 2 as they had run out of money. Dont remember the black/white bit though - but then it has been about 20 years since I saw it.

Where did you manage to get a copy of that?

I always remember the eyes being highlighted - gave me the *******

IIRC wasn't it (or part of it) made with a technique known as rotorscoping? Something about filming live action and then converting it into a cartoon type animation?

Remember seeing it back in the 80's and didn't think much to it then.
