Where I live the conservatives have a 30% majority. Good.

Hopefully it will weed out the pikeys further - there has been a 3.5% swing to conservative.

**** new labour.

What did anyone expect from the "great" British public, by definition 50% of voters are below average intellectually. Add to that the large numbers of people receiving benefits for doing nothing who vote Labour and the Tories never stood a chance.

But how refelective of modern society the result is. A celebration of mediocrity, an endorsement that telling half truths or lies is OK.

In a way it is a good thing, the cracks are appearing in the economy and Labour will get exposed for the shysters that they really are.

Read it...

No - REALLY read it then tell me if you think Labour WON or if they staved off getting a pint pot in the face cos the little hand of Lib Dem held back the mighty fist of English Judgment.

The south of England is awash in Blue - And as we know...

Unfortunately, i think the numbers do matter. A small majority - ineffective government, and the higher possibility of Brown taking over sooner; in my opinion a tragedy in the making for the UK. NL were *so* lucky to have the election at this time - see how it's looking in 6 months' time, it might not be the bed of roses you've been convinced into thinking it is...

Most of them are the Tory voters on here!! I mean, come on, only an uncivilised ape would ride around the country chasing down another dumb animal to rip to shreds when still alive!

Tories are unelectable

Labour WERE Elected ......... STILL by a workable majority

The people have spoken - the below average intelligent have been beaten - yet again!

I presume you are intimating that a crash is in the offing. How great will that be!
I can't wait until many of the tory voters on here realise just how far overstretched they are. Then REPO time!

Could happen, yes. The property market will be one casualty, but the wider economy as a whole could suffer. To see that in terms of a specifically Tory casualty seems strange, unless you're suggesting all Labour supporters aren't home owners, but if it suits your story, go with it i guess...

New Labour win.

The chav underclass that has taken over this country takes over again.

Classic quote from SKy News last night "Sunderland south is becoming a more affluent area and as such the Tory vote is growing. However, there are still vast areas of council estates that ensure Labour are still likely to gain the overall majority". Said by that blonde reporter.

CLASS!!! lol.

What I'm suggesting is that for the most part those who will suffer are what I like to think of as "scum of the earth" middle income, aspirational types who drive round in financed cars and live on new build estates with massive mortgages. I don't care who they voted for or what their affiliations are, I despise them and this Labour VICTORY has shafted them.

That leaves the cash rich to step in and asset strip the remains of their lives.

Good eh?

No Diablo I've never voted tory and will never vote tory as I'm opposed to them ideologically.

Neither am I a New Labour supporter. I just voted for who I thought would benefit my selfish interests the most.
Surely the way most people voted?
Screw the country I'm out for what I can get for me.

I voted for a property crash and financial turmoil which I believe will be the result of another 5yrs of NL. In fact had the tories have got in I believe the same would have happened anyway, it's just that it will hopefully be worse under NEW LABOUR.

The reason that this would be good for me is that I realised most of my portfolio at the peak of the property market. This makes me a cash rich buyer ready to scoop up some bargains when the real crash happens.

Going on my 'Porsche scale' of gain I'm at around the secondhand 996 C4/993RS stage of clear profit. A few more months should see me well into 996 Turbo/GT3/997 territory.

Why do you think it's more likely under NL than Conservatives though? Specifically? Do you actually know??

If only I did know. There are various reasons it seems more likely, the attitude of the markets towards Gordon Brown being one of them.

Any change would have been for the better, therefore as I want the worst for the UK Labour being voted in for another 5 yrs is a good thing. Put in simplistic terms the UK is up **** creek without a paddle and it's very good for me.

There's always some bitch who comes out with that type of lame "troll" comment. My comments are sincere and heartfelt and I've been consistently saying them since I joined the board years ago.

It isn't trolling per say, more "crowing", I genuinely despise many people on this board, their attitudes and lifestyles and I'm glad they didn't get what they wanted politically.
The fact it also benefits me financially is a bonus

Fair enough. On balance you're probably right, but i don't think there's much between them regarding the fate of the UK economy, and as such, i'd rather vote for who serves my day-to-day needs best, rather than speculate on their relative longer-term incompetence!
