Not many 17 year olds could make that kind of cash and all he gets is 12 months free board at H.M. pleasure So in effect earnt £45k pa.
Apparenly he had only £600 left when they caught up with him !!

Judge Roderick Denyer QC, sitting at Cardiff Crown Court, lifted an order banning the identification of Shortman, who turned 18 earlier this week.

The court heard how Shortman, who did not have goods to sell, spent the cash living the good life - hiring limousines, going on holidays and buying designer clothes.

He would taunt customers enquiring about their goods, on one occasion saying: "This is my business - I make people fools."

I would ensure the little **** paid back every penny to those who (all be it foolishly) bought stuff off him and 2 years is more like it. £45k for a year, he may just try it again once out.

Easy done - been watching some high value items recently and people bidding on them even though the sellers have no or negative feedback and no Paypal protection.
I was caught once but it was on a hijacked account.
Makes me mad. The little git should be made to repay every penny.

Agree, he, and people like him should be made to pay every penny. If a student has a loan hanging over their heads why not scumbags like this? The amount should be held against them. Applies to car thieves vandals etc etc..... might make them think twice if they have to pay the amount of damage or fraud they cause....
Dont you think?

Given that he will be out in 6 months it will be more like 90k pa.... tax free, so he would have to earn about 130k in a normal job to give him the same income. They should make him do hard labour for minimum wage until he pays back every penny
