Fish Thieving Scumbags
I need to vent my feelings....
We have a fishpond in the courtyard where I work. 18 months ago I placed my 3 ghost carp in the pond as they got too big for my fish tank at home. They've come on well and were about 10 inches long and fat little buggers - having quadrupled in size. They shared their home with 9 very large goldfish.
One of the cleaners says she has'nt seen them for two days. I last saw them Friday night leaving work when I fed them. Yesterday I noticed that a few roots and reeds are floating about and the bottom of the pond has been disturbed.
Some selfish b$stard has thieved all 11 fish. It's no heron or other animal.
I'm very angry and upset as I've had them since babies. It was reported to the police at lunchtime and they say they may have a look on the CCTV (2 lots) at either end of the road. I won't hold my breath of course..
I called the local rag and I've got a section in the paper this Friday. Maybe someone saw something. I know they are only fish, but they're mine or were. My carp were worth money around £70 each, but that's not bothering me, it's that someone could have sold them on for their value - who knows?
Why steal 9 ordinary goldfish? Carp cost £8 each when small, so go buy some.
I just hope what goes around comes around.

Bad luck.... thieving scum!
Are they in view of the road? It must be someone local surely? I sort of know how you feel, I've lost fish to herons and cats but not humans (or sub-humans)... so far....
(although I blame the cats on humans )

It's just off the main A40 through Wycombe. It's not on full view but I sit near the window and so many people seem to come and sit and bring kiddies to look at the fish.
People at work took the pi$$ because I was out there whatever the weather feeding them and taking floating rubbish out. One lady in an adjoining building even gave me extra food. I really am fecked off.
I was gonna take them out and possibly build my own pond to see them reach at least 20lb. I fish for carp aswell and having caught a 28lb'er it would have been very satisfying to see them mature.
I'm looking for a huge fish tank that I can somehow keep cool and i will go and buy a couple more. They won't be going in there again though.

Yes
There's only one way in and out. It had to be between Friday 6pm and Monday morning 8am.
The gates are locked by the security guard but others have keys apparently, so I guess the gate could have been left open, it does happen. Or they've climbed over.
4 years ago approx they had Koi carp and they were also pinched. Maybe Gypo's?

You know what, I might check in there.
Apparently there were two druggies hanging around the courtyard Friday lunchtime, can't say I saw them, but police were called to move them on.
Wycombe's that sort of place unfortunately...if it aint bolted down it''ll disappear.
