Sales Job advice
Hello all,
Just wondered if anyone had been in a similar position to me before, I'm currently working in service management for a large company and doing fairly well, however, they've announced voluntary redundancies, so, at the same time I was offered a junior position in sales for a small IT company that's on the way up, thing is the base pay's cr*p, really cr*p. Now, has anyone taken the leap from a big safe company into a similar role? I was thinking of moving into sales anyways, can do it within this corporation, however, do I take the risk and potential higher rewards of the smaller company???
any advice would be appreciated...
Mike

Why not use your service management expertise and sell stuff in that arena? If you're ITIL qualified, so much the better. Have a look at CA, HP, Managed Objects, Peregrine and there's a raft of smaller niche players doing specialist stuff like CMDB.
Plenty of people I know have made the jump and made a good fist of it.
