It is more than 6K, but I do not know the exact numbers. Have a look at the GPS speed trap detectors site, and also UK speed trap plug in for satnav. They will give you some figures

Anyone...had a look myself at loads of sites but cant get an answer.
Is anyone in the know??
Ive had a bet there are more than 10,000 in this country,but i cant think where i got this figure from..I need evidence!!!

Thats £250,000,000 worth of cameras paid for by us. Dont forget the mobile ones too with all that expensive equipment+van+copper.... (Thats probably shy of half a billion all in) All this expenditure and we have had the worst decade for road safety EVER!! with fatality rates actually increasing...That opens your eyes abit doesnt it?
