Say for example you sell a few unwanted dvd's rated 18 on ebay, how do you know how old the buyer is.
You could end up selling some pretty gory stuff to 12 year olds.
This also applies to forum classified sections?
Cuold you get done for it?

I think providing you take reasonable precautions, big warning on the ad, ask them to confirm in writing by e-mail that they are over 18 or ask for credit card payment, then you should be OK.

Be very very very careful with this. This area is such a landmine and if you are dealing in **** and not absolutly sticking to the law, the filth will bust down your door without a second thought. There was a case in the US not long ago, whereby a guy got done for sending **** through the federal mail system. Ok it has hardcore beast **** (thats not what he got done for) but just for sending it via the public postal system. Ok laws are different but be very careful

In the states its illegal to send anything that may be judged morally corrupting/obscene and the like through standard us mail. I think he got 2 years and his wife got 9 months. If he had sent it ups he would have been ok as they are a private company. Bet that choked him a bit ! It was discussed at leanth on forums such as ynot.com (VERY WORK UNFRIENDLY, adult biz bbs)
