Trying to identify a trackday/stage rally airfield.
Im trying to identify an airfield thats used for trackdays and stage rallies that I read about recently. I thought that I had a link saved but I cant find it anywhere and I cant remember the name.
From memory the airfield was located in the border area between South Yorkshire and North Yorkshire. It was described as being 'reasonable tarmac with the odd pothole'. The best thing about it was the price though at something between £20 and £40 depending on how many people attended. There was also driving instruction available on the day for about £400.
If anyone knows either the venue or the venue and the organisers Id be extremely grateful if theyd let me know. It may be Melbourne Airfield, Im not sure, they seem to be a popular stage venue but I cant find any sensibly priced track days there. It certainly wasnt Elvington although theye in the same area.
Any help appreciated.

You might want to try Blyton? It's not exactly where you say, but I'm pretty sure they do what you say.

Might have been Binbrook (up near Market Rasen)? Javelin Motorsport used to use that one, but I don't think it's used for trackdays/rallies now.

Blyton is otherwise known as Rallydrive, and the W.Yorks lot were there just a couple of weeks ago PICCY'S. There ended up a few less of us than we'd hoped and the price worked out at £45 each for the day. Tuition is usually available (although this time it wasn't) for £150, which covers the tutor for 4 hours and the time and cost is equally divided by those taking it. We will be doing it again in October should you wish to join us. Keep an eye out in Northern for WYIOC threads

Thanks for the replies, that looks like the one corradoboy: was there a thread recently asking people to pay up front, so that the people who actually turned up didnt end up paying more than they were expecting?

Yup CLICKY Although, we only asked for a £20 deposit. If we'd had enough people however the deposit would have covered the cost. I still can't understand with the amount of fun we all have had on 3 of these days so far, why more don't want to attend
In the past we had several people whom expressed their intent to attend, and then never showed on the day. Not even a post on here to say sorry afterwards
As I said earlier, we will be having another on Oct 1st if you'd like to join us.
