Curry perfection
Ordered a takeaway tonight, our local curry house have acheived perfection.
Poppadums, Mixed starter, followed by Chicken Samber (ordered a little hotter than standard) and thats it, it cannot be supassed, the ultimate curry I have been searching for, perfect blend of taste, heat and texture. Also, not being a pig there is plenty for Thursday when I return from hospital after my nasal surgery.
Why isnt there an Oscars for curry ?
What are your favourites ?

Oh man, I could so do a curry RIGHT NOW and I'm not even hungry.
My perfect curry is like this (I'm a simple curry lover):
Mixed Kebab Starters + popadums & pickle tray
Chicken Channa (made hot)
Mushroom Rice
Keema Naan
& Mango Lassi
MMMMmmmm mmmmm

Most takeaway curries I've had in the UK are pants, onthing like the real stuff in india.
In fact most of the curry houses are rubish too, hence I cook my own with freshly made sauces.
Most curry houses have the stuff pre-made and just add the meat.

I cook from scratch too, can't beat it, I've not made one yet that I haven't liked, if you know what spices you like, you can't really go wrong i reckon.

I certainly had my fill of Curry when I came home at xmas, the chaps still new me when I turned up, even though I'd been away for 2 years
Thankfully I've found two excellent places about 10 mins from me, I'm in absolute heaven!
The butter chicken and beef and/or chicken passanda are fantastic
Guess what Rose and I are munching on for dinner tonight?

Well, in Norwich, can recommend :-
The Passage to India or The Prince of India
Poppadoms (naturally), lime pickle, and a touch of mango
Chicken Jalfrezi
Plain Rice
Chilli Naan
Washed down with Kingfisher or a bottle of Tikka Gold

Not yet had a great curry in Japan, good at a stretch
It doesn't help that the Japanese don't permit rice imports (believe it or not), it's all domestic varieties. Japanese sticky rice with saffron is not a patch on basmati or pilau. And the Indian restaurants here have already adjusted the food for Japanese tastes, I've not had one decent strength curry here yet despite ordering the strongest thing on the menu and asking them to spice it up a bit.

If you wanna try making your own, but don't want to buy all the spices seperate (cost me an arm and a leg) try these out:
