Default Any entomologists on here?

Just thought I'd post a couple of piccies of my son's 2 stick insects.





Big buggers aren't they?

Huge! Are they male & female, young & old or just differerent species?

The bigger one had just shed - she was initially the same size as the male.

Amazingly enough - they're still not adult!!!

BuRR, you must be a very tolerant parent to let your son bring those into the house. Yeuch! Is this the same son that had the pet rat (of the voting scandal )?

hi - only just seen this one!

Dougal and Lola are pure-bred New Guinea stick insects, apparently and can grow up to 18cm in length when fully mature

The rats are still around. Walter let fame go to his head a bit, and hasn't been the same since

Its the wife who's the soft one with the animals......

Poor old Dougal died about 3 days ago. He was halfway through shedding his skin, when he tangled himself and cracked his newer inner skin. Poor lad.

My little lad was really upset

He's better now - we've now got another 3.
