Does anyone collect retro jump hour watches? Just curious as I've just bought myself this:

As a child of the 80s I'm also strangly drawn to this:

I'm thinking of buying my wife another watch at around the £1500 bracket towards the end of the year (probably for Christmas). Currently drawn to a Rolex Lady Datejust (but they're so common) or an IWC Little Da Vinci. Any other suggestions (she's already got one Cartier, so it has to be something else).

Its currently the trend for ladies to wear big watches, so the choice is endless.

My other half wears a 3/4 OmegaSeaMaster, or my GMTMasterII.

She now dis-likes her TagHeure AlterEgo saying the face is too small.

I really don't like that, TBH. I've seen women wearing Gents-sized Cartier Tanks and Rolex Datejusts and it just looks all wrong, IMHO. I saw a woman wearing a huge Jacob & Co thing the other day (ugh!), and it was bigger than her wrist (bigger than my wrist, too).

Not on this thread apart from where you've just mentioned it of course but you've positively milked it on other watch threads!!

In fact I'm surprised you didn't call your son Poljot.

Which one? I really like the classic Carrera, and a couple of the new-series Carreras too.

Tried on a beautifully understated IWC Pilot's Chronograph the other day. Wonderful, but although it would be a new toy, I still prefer my (very) battered old Moonwatch.
