Diesels to cost £2K more!!!!
According the What Car? May 2005 page 42, legislation and new emission laws will force up the price of diesels by about £2k. BMW new 3 series is already £2K more for a diesel equivalent model!!!! Kin' Hell Fire.

Doesnt surprise me really - the government must lose out on a lot of tax by people using diesels which use less fuel, so as a result diesel fuel prices go up and now the cost of the cars too... you just cant win with this lot

If bLIAR gets his way with ISA and all the fun (and liberty) is taken out of motoring then base model diesels are the only things most people in this country will be buying. They might as well put the price up now so it's less of a shock when it happens
