Default What would you like to see in the election manifesto???

Assume the ability to make up your own dream political party, what issues do you think should be at the forefront of your parties adgenda????

What issues would make you change your vote???

Some of the things I think are important, what are the issues that matter for you?

Are issues relating to traveller's sites, asylum seekers etc... going to influence voting??? I know these are a bit controversial, but are these the things that matter to people?

The Police to have to justify why speed camera's are where they are. ie - if they're just for fund raising they have to go.

For foods advertised as Low fat to actually be low fat. AFAIK Pringles are 36% whereas Pringles Light are "Only" 33% - WTF! Foods should only be advertised as "Diet", Low-fat", "Light" etc.. if they are less than 5% fat.

                I'll go with that

Not too bothered by that one, happy to continue to contribute to the pot, but think you should get a NI discount if you make provision for your own healthcare by other means.

The Lib Dem approach would actually increase my tax bill by 77%, see the council tax thread.

I'd prefer a method of billing for local services that is based on usage of the services combined with quality of the service.

Not too bothered about supporting other people's kids through school, I'd like to see parents make a bigger contribution to providing for their kids, but again, happy to put in to the pot even though I haven't benefited from it.

Possibly, but the cost is likely to be crippling to do this, I'd want to see the proposals clearly stated with realistic estimates of the costs.

Most recycling is actually really bad for the environment, it has to be subsidised as it is not economically viable. Things like paper recycling which uses Chlorine as a bleaching agent (nasty ozone eater) is awful for the environment, whereas pretty much all first production paper these days comes from sustainable forests, so wasting paper is actually good for the environment!! Get Penn and Teller Bullsh*t season 2 on DVD for a real destruction of the recycling myth.

Some of the things I think are important, what are the issues that matter for you?
For me I'd like to see people encouraged to stand on their own to feet and contribute to society, rather than expecting others to provide everything for them. We have a culture of opt out and I'll claim the dole or other benefits. I suspect far too many are on long term incacity benefit that are not as bad as they make out. This side of our society needs a damn good shake up.

Have better witness protection in place to stop intimidation from the police...
