anyone know anything about auction houses
i am hoping to go to one soon (property buying)

never bought from auction before, but have looked into it in the past. take a look at this - http://www.propertyauctions.com/auct...s/ac_guide.pdf - and remember to do your homework properly first!! (...and try not to get bitten by the auction fever bug when it comes to sticking to a budget!)

Yep regularly visit our local one to pick up bargains (sometimes!). Never been to a property one though! Typically you will pay a buyers premium on top of the hammer price which can be anywhere from 5-15% and sometimes VAT on the whole lot if the goods have come from liquidated stock. Some auctions you have to pre-register I guess to weed out the time wasters. What will you need? some nerves and plenty of cash!
