Question how to transfer from tape to PC?

Hello,

I'm trying to transfer a bit of audio from a cassette onto my PC. We've got a minor result but windows sound recorder stops after 60 seconds. Do I need another bit of software or something? The tape in question is of someone reading a story. Any advice much appreciated.

if you have win XP, go into movie maker, then double click the story board at the bottom. click the mic for narration and record away.

if not no idea!

If you have a Creative Labs SounBlaster audio adapter card then the bundled software will include a wave sound recorder and editor. Failing that if you search 'Google' for 'freeware sound recorder' will bring up stuff like this.... Try using 'freeware wave recorder' too.
