Pensioners to get a council tax refund of £200
Is Gordon Brown that stupid?
Does he think he can buy the pensioner vote with a one off payment for one year only?
If he was smart, he would have said every year. After all it would only cost £200mil or so each year, loose change really. Then once in power, changed his mind in the next budget, bit like the students....

yeah its great part from my nans council tax went up £220 so she is actually £20 worse off still, not bad but mine went up £330 some charges had increased 100%

Well my old man (70) detests Labour and this sweetner from Gordon (even though he is a fellow Scot!) will just make him detest them even more !!! If I want a quick visit to my Dad I keep off the subject of politics .....

PS: I really am amazed at how stupid Nu Labia think the populace is..... I mean, these people went to school once so they know that there were people there that did better than them. Or is it just arrogance???
