Default Straw Dogs

Sky Cinema 2 @ 11:25 for those that can stumuch it.

Ive never watched it myself, only seen it mentioned on programmes dealing with censorship.

Im expecting to find it no where near as bad as im expecting, going by numerous other extreme films that ive seen that had a lot of hype surrounding them upon their original release.

7.4/10 on IMDB btw.

I've got it on DVD and its not half as bad as the talk would have you believe.

You will find it massively tame by today's standards

Seconded. You'll wonder what the fuss what about! I suppose in the context of when it was released I can understand but not by today's benchmark.

I saw it live, so to speak, and remember the silence from the audience as we took the exit - none of the usual chattering and stuff. It was certainly heavy for its time, but very mild by today's standards.

I will just watch it again for no other reason than at the time, Susan George was just the most stunning and sexual woman on the planet (IMO).

i think this is the case with alot of older films, ch4 are running a 'banned' season at the mo and with much anticipation i watched texas chainsaw massacre and clockwork orange.

fell asleep watching clockwork orange, texas chainsaw was ok, but had to get going.

found the elm street films the same aswell.

gutted
