What's up with you all? Whistling is one of the happiest sounds around. Not enough of it these days... today the birds are singing and what a lovely sound it is, cheers me little heart up no end.
The world would be a sadder place without the whistlers.

Whistling's fine as long as you don't work with one of the blokes here! FFS he only knows one tune 'Old MacDonald' and we get it all day, every day

What I don't understand is the tune that the old folks whistle...seems to me like they make it up as they go along...I've never once recognized what that tune is and they all have the same one !

Personally, I LOVE the sound of birdsong, it ushers in both spring and summer.

I worked as a labourer for a couple of days (all I could stand) and one of the guys liked the song Blue Velvet - from 1990, 1991? And the final line something like "And I try to see blue velvet through my tears".

In fact that was the ONLY LINE he knew.

So he sung it about every 30-45 seconds. All day.

Nice song per se, but ruined for me now - conjours up images of scraping drying plaster off bathtubs
