Default So when does the Higher Stamp Duty come into effect ???

As above i cannot find a date when this will be effective, I want to get back on the property ladder as im fed up of paying rent & being unable to MODIFY the house, You know nice induction Kit, Larger Turbo , Oh sorry thats the car isn't it !!

I thought it was from midnight so already in effect but stand to be corrected..........

Can pick up a place in st pauls for that much.... so crack den is about right.

Yes was me Chris, That was the Plan, Just that you get even less for your Money now, Perhaps should of jumped off the rented wagon sooner

Not unless he's changed the rules about what you pay, AFAIK you will still pay 1% on the whole purchase price if it's over £120k

Try to find somewhere that has disadvantaged status. Then anything upto £150k is stamp exempt. Not all areas with the status are bad...
