So when does the Higher Stamp Duty come into effect ???
As above i cannot find a date when this will be effective, I want to get back on the property ladder as im fed up of paying rent & being unable to MODIFY the house, You know nice induction Kit, Larger Turbo , Oh sorry thats the car isn't it !!

Not unless he's changed the rules about what you pay, AFAIK you will still pay 1% on the whole purchase price if it's over £120k
